ChatGPT Search hits milestone in the EU

ChatGPT Search has done some serious growing in the past months in the EU, reaching a record 41.3 million users between October and March. That is nearly four times the growth from the previous six-month period, during which the platform had 11.2 million users.

Of course all has to be put in perspective: While this is a huge jump, it is still far from Google’s average monthly signed-in users of 355.7 million and average monthly signed-out users of 424.4 million.

All that said, ChatGPT’s successes cannot be played down, and the powerhouse is indeed looking like a true threat now to Google. It is even approaching the EU’s 45 million monthly user threshold, which then qualifies it as a “very large online platform.”
