A milestone of sorts, with US search ad revenue driving past the $100 billion mark. To be exact, for the year 2024, it reached $102.9 billion.
To put that in perspective, that was $102.9 billion of the record $258.6 billion in total US digital advertising revenues in 2024.
It also marks a massive $14.1 billion increase from the previous year.
Some additional stats for you all:
- Social media ad revenue also grew by 36.7% to a record $88.7 billion.
- Video advertising is up 19.2% to $62.1 billion.
- Display advertising jumped 12.4% to $74.3 billion.
- Retail media networks also grew to $53.7 billion, an increase of 23%.
So, while we are supposed to be talking marketing, it’s hard not to think about all those stocks that we should have bought in these ad companies!
