Where are digital marketers investing in ad spend?

Wondering which digital platforms get the most attention from advertisers? It’s always good to check out the latest stats to get a gauge on things – and see if your digital ad spend strategies line up with the overall mood.

According to a recent study, here’s where things sit:

  • Only 23% of digital marketers plan to invest in X (formerly known as Twitter) over the next 12 months.  That’s down from 27% back in Q1 of this year.
  • Most marketers nowadays prefer Google (81%).  Google advertising can target search intent. so that’s always a big hit with sellers.
  • Meta (FB and Insta) is not doing too shabby, with 57% of marketers sending money their way for ad campaigns.
  • The top ecommerce platforms are also in the mix. 27% of advertisers said they plan to invest in Amazon, while 11% are allocating funds for Walmart.

What does this mean for you? Certainly spend trends are indicators of what is likely working and what might not be working so well. Does the above reflect your overall spend?
