Content marketing builds trust. Promotional messages, not so much.
Ask yourself, after all, what would you find more appealing from a medical clinic? Ads about diabetes treatment plans on sale this month, or weekly articles written by their physicians providing specific sound advice that helps you live a healthier life.
I know which I would prefer.
If your advice is genuine, accurate, and beneficial, your audience will start to believe in you and your content. The trust being built is undeniable, and it leads to attracting more customers to your business.
Why? Because content of this nature offers value to your prospects. By following the advice given in your articles, they get to put your skills to the test. And when it brings results, they will believe in you, which builds trust. Eventually, it results in many of them becoming customers.
In other words, without content, trust is non-existent.
