Content can be complicated but who views it is, in part, up to you.
Obviously your key target audience is your customers and prospects – those who might buy more of your products or services, plus people buying them for the first time.
So how do you make sure they’re the ones that view your content? There’s two main considerations:
- The content itself! It needs to be relevant to your offering so it will be relevant to the people you want to attract. Selling sportswear? Then focus on fitness advice, such as how to hydrate during jogging, or the styles to wear for specific activities, etc.
- Target properly: That means building a targeted email list, distributing on social media to your defined demographic using the targeting features on ad platforms, tailoring your content for SEO using keywords your audience are using for search, plus syndicating in relevant trade publications.
