Always be useful: Email campaign tips

Email is a marketing approach that’s tricky to get right.

So here are four quick tips – to avoid falling into those email traps that we all see every day.

1. Be useful. Your emails should help your customers, address their problems and concerns. Start with two per week – one sales, one informational – and go from there.

2. Keep it simple and personal: Get straight to the point, with a clear call to action. Research customer types and tailor your emails, then test open rates.

3. It’s not about your brand: Update your customers on things that interest them. People appreciate the non-brand nature of this content – no immediate click through, but it boosts brand loyalty.

4. Be mobile friendly: Keep in mind, 60% of all emails are now opened on a mobile. Get a great image-to-copy ratio to make it an easy read for your mobile audience.
