If we’ve learned anything about Google, it’s that the search engine giant is constantly changing things up – whether on the organic or ad front.
Most recently, Google announced that ads with landing pages that don’t conform to Better Ads Standards will be disapproved.
Specifically, Google had this to say: “Destinations containing ad experiences that do not conform to the Better Ads Standards will be informed via the Ad Experience Report, and any ads that lead to such destinations will be disapproved.”
No need to worry, of course. It’s all very straightforward and it should be easy for you to ensure conformance. Just avoid a few things:
– Do not use pop-ups
– Do not have videos with sound that auto-plays
– Do not have any flashing animated ads
There are a few more things to be aware of, so do your homework to ensure your campaigns avoid any unnecessary interruptions.
