Silx expands UK editorial team

The UAE-based content marketing firm has expanded its UK team to facilitate client growth

Dubai, UAE: Silx, the Dubai-based content marketing agency, is further expanding its UK team in response to growing demand among existing and new clients.

Starting with just a single customer in 2015, its founding year, Silx now delivers its digital marketing and publishing services to more than 20 companies. On the content front alone, Silx produces and publishes more than 50 articles, infographics, and animated videos each month, all of which are produced by the UK editorial and design teams.

Silx Managing Director Alex Ionides believes that a key factor in the company’s success thus far was the decision early on to centralise all content creation out of the UK, where talent is in abundance: “We take a journalistic approach to content creation, and only work with high-quality writers who pass a rigorous recruiting process. It is because of this that we have been able to form strong relationships with a host of well-known publishers and publications, putting the content we create for our clients in front of an audience of millions.”

Silx publishes content on behalf of its broad client-base to a host of high-traffic sites and industry publications. The company’s pool of experienced writers along with its journalistic approach means the company is also able to place much of its output in the mainstream press, both in the UAE and beyond. “It’s a combination of digital marketing, content marketing, and public relations, which together bring maximum results for our clients,” says Ionides.

The company’s expansion has coincided with a boom in the content marketing industry as a whole. More businesses than ever are putting content at the heart of their marketing strategy – 91% of B2B marketers now use content marketing.

Ionides says this surge in popularity is nothing surprising: “There’s a reason so many companies are investing in content marketing – because it works. When done right, the content approach to digital is far less costly and leads to stronger leads than the traditional digital marketing approach that does not employ content.
