It’s a no-brainer that content needs to be proofread, edited and fact-checked before publishing. If you can get multiple eyes across the work before it goes live, even better.
Ensure your writer provides URLs to any sources cited so that an editor can check them. They need to be high-quality, reliable and interpreted correctly in your content.
The editor should check structure and flow, plus ensure that information is front-loaded. And as people become more and more time-poor, check that the article is scannable for those who don’t have time to read the whole thing religiously. Is the argument compelling? Does the content answer everything included in the client’s brief?
Happy content creating!
